5 missing Arunachal men found in China: Kiren Rijiju

The five youth from a village in Arunachal Pradesh who went missing a week ago, have been found in the Chinese land. The Union Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Kiren Rijiju said, The youth captured by PLA people liberation army, have been found in China.

“China’s PLA has responded to the hotline message sent by Indian Army. They have confirmed that the missing youths from Arunachal Pradesh have been found by their side. Further modalities to handover the persons to our authority is being worked out,” minster tweeted.

The incident of five missing youth came to notice when a group of seven men, from the Nacho area of Upper Subansiri district, went hunting in the jungle, out of which two returned and informed the families that the five others were captured by the Chinese troops from Sera-7, an Army patrol zone -12 kilometres further north of Nacho.

Following this report, the Indian army sent a hotline message to PLA, the minister, Rijiju said on Sunday.

The Congress MLA, Ninong Ering further tweeted, he attached a Facebook post by Prakash Ringling, who wrote that his brother and four others were abducted by PLA.

The reports of abduction came into the light when India strengthened the forces along the 3,400 km-long Line of Actual Control LAC in the view of the dispute between two countries in the Pangong Tso area of eastern Ladakh.
