Burqa clad woman hurls petrol bomb at CRPF bunker in J-K’s Sopore

A burqa-clad woman was witnessed tossing a bomb at the CRPF bunker in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir. The bomb led to a fire which was extinguished immediately. Albeit no injuries have been reported, further details in the matter are much awaited.

At the same time, two terrorists of the infamous Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) – Rayees Ahmed Bhat, a former journalist, and a C category terrorist- Hilal Ah Rah were killed in an encounter in the Rainawari region of Srinagar yesterday. In the statement issued by the Kashmir Zone Police (KZP), they stated that one of the two encountered terrorists possessed a media Identity Card (ID). They also added that Rayees Ahmed Bhat was earlier a journalist and was responsible for running an online news portal called ‘Valley News Service” in Anantnag. 

The police also informed that Bhat had terrorist ranks in 2021. He also possessed a previous criminal record with two prior FIRs registered against him for terror crimes. The information on the second felled terrorist was disclosed by the Kashmir Zone Police via a tweet, which stated that he was identified as Hilal Ah Rah, a ‘C’ categorized terrorist hailing from Bijbehara. 

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar disclosed that both the terrorists had a history of partaking in numerous terror crimes which included killings of innocent civilians.
