According to fire officials, a major fire at a vegetable market in Hadapsar’s Handewadi Road area in the early hours of Tuesday destroyed up to 90 vegetable and fruit stalls and two tempo trucks. While a thorough search has been launched, preliminary findings indicate that there were no casualties.
According to fire department officials, the fire broke out around 1.30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Chintamani Nagar vegetable market on Handewadi Road in Hadapsar. Three fire tenders were dispatched from nearby fire stations in Kaleborate Nagar, Hadapsar, and Kondhwa Budruk.
Officials revealed that after arriving at the location, their teams simultaneously began splashing water from all four corners of the market. By 2.30 a.m., the fire had been extinguished.
According to them, no one was injured in the fire that broke out at around 1.45 a.m. at the market in Chintamani Nagar in the Handewadi area of the Hadapsar suburb.
“The fire caused no injuries. The cause of the fire has yet to be determined, “According to the official.
“Because the market was closed at the time, our investigation thus far indicates that no one was present on the premises,” a fire official said. A thorough investigation is underway.” Officials added that the market has approximately 90 vegetable and fruit stalls, all of which, along with the items kept inside, was gutted, as well as two tempo trucks.
