A Delhi based Police officer- Seema Dhaka has been granted out of turn promotion under a new incentive scheme for finding out almost 76 children within a period of three months.
Seema is posted as Head Constable at Delhi’s Samaypur Badli’s Police station. The Delhi police in a statement said, “she is the first police personnel of Delhi Police who has been given out of turn promotion for tracing missing children under the incentive scheme”
An official statement stated, “these missing kids have been traced not only from Delhi but from other states including Punjab and West Bengal”
Many praised her for her achievements, one of them was Commissioner of Police SN Srivastava. He wrote on Twitter congratulating her, “Women SC Seema Dhaka, PS Samaypur Badli, deserves congratulations for being the first person to be promoted out of turn for recovering 76children in 3 months. Hats off to fighting and joy brought to families”.
Even IFS Officer Parveen Kaswan wrote on Twitter, “She is Seema Dhaka, a constable in Delhi Police. She just became the first Delhi police officer to get OTP for tracing missing children. Most of her cases involved children who had been separated from their families and disappeared years ago. Salute madam hands folded hands”
This incentive scheme came into existence on August 5. This scheme was brought to motivate the police officers to find missing children. The Commissioner of Police in a statement read any constable/ Head officer who recovers 50 or more children below the age of 14 years within a period of 12 calendar months will be considered for the grant of out of turn promotion.
