Harvey Weinstein’s Trial Focused on the Testimony of ‘Sopranos’ Actress Sciorra on Day 3

Deliberations finally began in the sexual Assault trial of Harvey Weinstein, after the seven men, five women jury finished listening to testimonies which lasted for months. The Hollywood mogul has pleaded not guilty to five felony counts, which includes two accounts of rape, two accounts of predatory sexual assault and one account of criminal sexual act.

On Day 3 of deliberations, the jury focused on ‘Sopranos’ actress Sciorra who is the first one to testify against Harvey in the court. Sciorra has accused Harvey of raping and sexually assaulting her in the winter of 1993-1994. Jurors looked at the emails presented in court to support her testimony.

In her testimony, Sciorra told that Weinstein barged into her Manhattan apartment and performed oral sex and raped her.

The jury focus remained on Sciorra as the proceeded deliberation jury revisited Rosie Pere’s testimony, who gave a telephonic testimony in which she said that Siccora told her about Weinstein unwelcome advances and assault on her. But she never went to the police because she feared he will destroy her career.

Weinstein lawyer everything was consensual and the only crime Harvey has committed is cheating his wife. Harvey faces up to life in prison in the Manhattan Supreme court.
