Supreme Court has given the order to club all the FIRs filed against Nupur Sharma and transfer them to the Delhi Police. The SC has also allowed Ms Sharma to move to Delhi to quash the complaints made against her.

The order given by the court reads as follows “The Delhi Police shall ensure that the first FIR (of Maharastra) along with FIR dated June 8 are investigated together by clubbing the other FIRs in different parts.”
Apart from the two orders, SC has extended interim protection to Sharma until the probe is over.

Last month in a debate about the GyanVapi mosque spokesperson of BJP Nupur Sharma made a statement about Prophet Mohamad. This created controversy not just among the Muslim folks of the country but, also across other South Asian countries.

The criticism for Ms Sharma did not just come from her party and opposition she even got death threats. Post this, there were about 9 FIRs filed against Ms Sharma. One FIR was filed in Delhi, five in Maharastra, two in West Bengal and one in Telangana.

Sharma is also been heavily criticised by BJP and the SC for her comments. She was called out by the SC for being a ‘loose tongue’ and was suspended by BJP from her post. Sharma is also been heavily criticised by BJP and the SC for her comments.
