The Kashmir Files Set to Release in UAE & Singapore after controversies in India

The controversial film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has received censorship clearance and is set to release in UAE & Singapore.  

The Vivek Agnihotri direction has sparked controversies across India with some calling the events depicted facts and others deemking them to be bogus. Vivek Agnihotri has been actively defending the film and the facts on Twitter. 

The clearance of the Film in An islamic Country comes unexpectedly as the film has given rise to incidents of peple calling for islamic genocide and systematic ethnic cleansing as a payback for what happened to Kashmiri Hindus. Islamophobia is one of the major reactions the movie has entailed.  

The movie talks about the genocide Kashmiri Hindus faced in their own land and how they were forced to live as refugees in their own country. 

Agnihotri resorted to social media to share the good news that the film had received censor clearance without cuts in the UAE and Singapore.

The exodus drama is written and directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri and stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumaar,Chinmay Mandlekar, and Bhasha Sumbli.

Since its release, The Kashmir Files has raked in a sizable sum at the box office. On Wednesday, trade expert Taran Adarsh reported on Twitter that The Kashmir Files is approaching the Rs 250 crore threshold. “#TheKashmirFiles [Week 3] Fri 4.50 cr, Sat 7.60 cr, Sun 8.75 cr, Mon 3.10 cr, Tue 2.75 cr, Mon 3.10 cr, Tue 2.75 cr, Mon 3.10 cr, Tue 2.75 cr, Mon 3.10 cr, Tue 2.75 cr, Mon 3.10 cr, Tue 2.75 cr, Mon 3.10 cr, Tue 2. Total: $ 234.03 million Business in India. BLOCKBUSTER OF ALL TIME.” This weekend, the picture will reach its fourth week.
