“Max, Jay, Siva, Nathan and the whole Wanted family are devastated by the tragic and premature loss of our bandmate Tom Parker, who passed away peacefully at lunchtime today surrounded by his family and his band mates. The Wanted band, which formed in 2009, had a streak of hit singles, including “All Time Low” and “Glad You Came,” which reached No. 1 in the United Kingdom. After three successful albums, the musicians split up in 2014, but reformed in September 2021 for a benefit event at London’s Royal Albert Hall organized by Parker to help cancer charities. He joined the band onstage for their long-awaited reunion tour earlier this year.
“It’s not that I’m ignoring cancer,” Parker remarked before the show, “but I just don’t want to pay it any attention.” “The more you pay attention to it, the more it consumes your life, and I don’t want my life to be consumed.”
In 2021, The Wanted launched a greatest hits album, which was followed by a tour in this year.
