Trump Brokers Peace Deal between Israel and Bahrain

Trump has managed to restore diplomatic relation between Israel and Bahrain under Peace to Prosperity Plan launched in 2020. Bahrain becomes the fourth nation and second in a month after UAE, Egypt and Jordan to normalize relation with Israel. The Arab nations have boycotted Israel since it’s foundation in 1948 due to Palestine conflicts.

Trump’s special advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner have played a major role in the peace deal. It is a diplomatic victory for Trump ahead of elections in the month of November. Trump hosted a phone call between President of Israel, Mr Netanyaku and monarch of Bahrain, King Hamad Bin Isa Bin Salman- Al Khalifa.

A Joint Statement was released by the USA, Kingdom of Bahrain and State of Israel. The Statement recognized that the dialogue between the two great economies will lead to stability, security and prosperity in the Middle- East region. Also, the leaders of the two nations expressed gratitude towards President Donald Trump. They appreciated the efforts of the USA to restore peace and stability in the region. On 15 September 2020, the Kingdom of Bahrain will join UAE and Israel to sign the historic Declaration of Peace at the White House. The Declaration would be signed by Israel’s President and foreign minister of Bahrain.

The two nations of the Middle-East will exchange embassies and ambassadors. The direct flights would also begin between the two countries. The two Arab nations will also launch cooperation initiatives across health, business, technology, education, security and agriculture sectors.
