Publisher Penguin Random House India announced that the launch of Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s much awaited book debut “Unfinished” will hit the floors on January 19, 2021.
Unfinished, which is a memoir will include Priyanka’s uncondensed journey to stardom as it is said to be ‘thoughtful and revealing’. Her early childhood memories of living in India, the teenage years moving in with her extended family in US in the Midwest, Queens and suburban Boston, where she faced racism and her return to home country, and the unanticipated national and international beauty pageant wins (Miss India and Miss World) that set-in motion her acting career. The readers can expect a sneak peek into her journey to success in India and an honest account of the trials she had to undergo in maneuvering her career in India and Hollywood.
Priyanka says that she is the result of an amalgamation of both traditional and modern India as well as the East and West. She goes on to say that even though readers will get to know the ‘in-between’ of what they have not seen on screen, she also wants them to understand that “It is okay to pick up, walk away, leave things #unfinished” in her tweet.
The Miss World 2000 made her Bollywood debut with “The Hero: Love Story of a Spy” and continued to become the ‘desi girl’ with innumerable films like “Fashion”, “Barfi”, “Mary Kom”, “Bajirao Mastani” etc. Priyanka’s introduction to Hollywood was with Quantico and her film debut was with “Baywatch”. She also played important roles in “A Kid like Jake” and “Isn’t it Romantic?”.
Priyanka’s next is an Amazon thriller series “Citadel” and an Amazon film about Ma Anand Sheela, assistant of Osho. The actor has also signed up for two Netflix projects “We Can Be Heroes” and “The White Tiger”. She is currently shooting for “The Matrix 4”.
