Overnight a series of strikes were launched by Russian forces across Ukraine killing 12 innocent civilians.The passenger train which is a civilian infrastructure was directly targeted in northeastern Ukraine Kharkiv region.The drone hit a coach of a city-linking passenger train which carried around 200 people.The Ukrainian officials stated that 5 people were killed and four others went missing.The train was travelling from Chop to Barvinkove when it was struck near a Khargiv Oblast village.

Zelenskyy posted on the Telegram app that drone strike on a civilian train would be purely an act of terrorism.

He said the latest attack weakened peace efforts. Moreover, he urged the allies to ramp up pressure on Moscow in order to end the war. “Every such Russian strike erodes the diplomacy that is still ongoing and undermines the efforts of partners who are helping to end this war,” he posted on social media.

Government prosecutors stated that besides the train being struck by one drone, two more struck an area adjacent to the train.

Zelenksy stated in a post on telegram that 155 passengers had boarded the train.The deputy prime minister, Oleksiy Kuleba describes the three attacks by drone as “direct act of Russian terror”.

Chief of Ukrzaliznytsia , national railway of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pertsovskyi thanked resciue teams and other passengers helped in evacuating the train. He said that trains would keep running and additional stringent security will be provided in specific areas.A swarm of more than 50 drones of Russian origin took lives of 3 people and injured more than 30 people in Odesa’s southern city.
