Under the Har Ghar Tiranga drive, five lakh flags will be distributed among residents by the Pune Metropolitan Company (PMC) from August 9 to celebrate the 77th Freedom Day. The celebrations will also be marked by the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently.

PMC will track the appropriation of flags and guarantee that individuals keep up with the nobility and don’t dispose of them. 3,000 flags will be distributed at each of the 15 ward workplaces, which will be liable for dispersing them to residents liberated from cost. Furthermore, 1,000 extra flags each will be given as a substitution for dismissed ones.

The campaign targets the Bravehearts who set out their lives for the country. Residents have been encouraged to pay tribute by clicking a selfie and uploading it on https://yuva.gov.in/meri_matti_mera_desh

Last year, the country joined together to celebrate by raising the flags on each house, road, and corner of the country. This year, the PM declared the continuation of the practice of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ with each house hoisting the tricolor.

The mission will close the two-drawn-out festival of 75 years of Freedom, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The slogan for the mission is ‘Maati Ko Naman Veeron Ka Vandan.’

As well as lifting the Tricolor under the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign that was declared last year, the Independence Day festivities will likewise be set apart by the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign this year.
