The US Vice President, Kamala Harris has gained the support and aid of ample Democratic Delegates to run as the Party’s President.

According to a tally done by The Associated Press, Kamala Harris obtained the endorsement of around 1,976 delegates. All of these delegates will prove to be a crucial part for her to win the first phase of the voting process and for her overall victory in the presidential elections.

Even Rusty Hicks, the California state Democratic Chairman stated that around 75% to 80% of the delegates were on call and were unitedly in support of Kamal Harris. She also became the presumed nominee for the Party when President Joe Biden stepped down from the reelection drive. The US Vice President bagged the nomination in only 36 hours after President Biden endorsed her.

There was also a post on X that included a statement from Vice President Kamala Harris on her becoming a nominee for presidency. In that, she spoke about how she was grateful to have such wonderful support from all the delegates and from her home state of California. She also expressed her gratitude towards President Joe Biden and to all the members of the party for believing in her.

Not only this, but she also criticized the methods of Donald Trump, stating that his ideology would not help the country progress. She drew a stark contrast between her and Donald Trump saying that she would strengthen democracy and help people move forward.

Lastly, she also mentioned that she will be traveling around the country and listening to the voices and concerns of the people of America while uniting the party and the nation.

The US Vice President also said on a post on X that, “Tonight, I am proud to have earned the support needed to become our Party’s nominee… I fully intend to unite our party and our nation, and defeat Donald Trump.”

However, even with her campaign and the enormous support she has received, this aid is not binding and delegates can cast their vote for the candidates of their choice. Despite this, there are 106 days left for the elections and Harris has assured that the hard work will continue.
