Linkin Park has made their official announcement to be the headliner at Lollapalooza India 2026, after weeks of speculation and hints on social media. This would be the band’s highly anticipated performance in the nation. On January 25, which is the second day of the festival, the Grammy-winning rock band will take to the stage at Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai.

The announcement comes on the heels of the group’s ongoing From Zero World Tour, begun after the release of their 2024 comeback album, From Zero. In addition to the founding members Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Rob Bourdon, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn, the album also introduced fans to the new co-lead singer Emily Armstrong, drummer Colin Brittain, and guitarist Alex Federer.

Mike Shinoda, co-founder of Linkin Park, said in the band’s newsletter when announcing the show that for a very long time, India had been a place where they always wanted to go for a tour. And they are very excited and looking forward to playing live in India.

As Chester Bennington passed away in 2017, the band took a seven-year break and resumed in 2024. Along with an international arena tour that has brought them to North America, Europe, and Asia, they rebranded with new songs, including the song “The Emptiness Machine.”

On January 24-25, Lollapalooza India will feature its fourth edition, featuring more than 40 domestic and global artists. Imagine Dragons, Jonas Brothers, Sting, Halsey, and AP Dhillon have also graced previous lineups. Linkin Park’s announcement comes as one of the festival’s biggest attractions, but the entire 2026 lineup is expected to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Lollaindia.com and BookMyShow began selling general tickets on August 28. There were also VIP and Platinum passes, which come with perks such as lounge access, priority pits, and shuttle services.

Some of the band’s most popular songs, such as “Numb”, “Castle of Glass”, “In the End”, and “What I’ve Done”, are expected to be played on Lollapalooza. The band’s latest album, “From World Zero”, is a fresh start for them, and it has received mostly positive reviews, proving that they can carry on Chester’s work without being overshadowed by it.
