Fight breaks out between BJP and Congress associates

A protest march occurred in Patna today by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over alleged abusive language used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This erupted an altercation with Congress employees and was disrupted by police intervention. The clash highlights the heightened political condition of the state.

The protest led by Bihar Ministers Nitin Nabin and Sanjay Saraogi and MLA Sanjiv Chaurasia reaction to a situation that occurred two days ago in Darbhanga during Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra.’ Congress was accused by BJP of using disparaging language against the Prime Minister. The protest happened in Sadaqat Ashram, the State Congress headquarters, where BJP workers gave slogans against their rivals.

On arrival of the BJP rivals, Congress workers reportedly locked the gates of their headquarters and began attacking the protestors with stones. This sudden escalation led to a minor spat and both sides were reportedly injured. Police Quickly brought the situation under control by separating the two groups and convincing the BJP workers to retreat.

Diksha, the Superintendent of Police (Patna Central), acknowledged that the issue was minimal and said that both parties had filed reports, which will be taken a look at. Many Congress employees by staging a sit-in outside their offices after this incident, calling the BJP guilty of “hooliganism”

BJP is firm in its stance, along with Minister Nitin Nabin demanding a public apology from Rahul Gandhi and his associates. Nabin said that they won’t tolerate insults to the Prime Minister. He also emphasized the party’s decision to continue protesting such behaviour. The event highlights the growing tension between the two major political parties in Bihar, setting a contentious tone for future political activities surrounding the region.
