The Bihar Police Headquarters has issued an alert across the state about the possible entry of three terrorists from Pakistan into the state.
According to senior officials, security has been made strict across various sensitive locations, including railway stations, bus terminals, and religious and public gatherings. The district police have been asked to be vigilant and undertake intensive surveillance and checking operations.
Police sources suspect that the alleged Hasnain from Rawalpindi, Adil from Umerkot, and Usman from Bahawalpur may have entered Bihar via Araria district. Their photographs and passport details have been circulating throughout all the districts, and police have been requested to thoroughly checkhotels, transport hubs and crowded places. A cash reward of Rs 50,000 was also announced for information about the three terrorists. East Champaran Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat says that common people have been provided with the number 112, where they can report anything regarding the suspects.
But there have been no official statements yet made by the police, sources say. Central intelligences have shared input suggesting that the terrorists may carry out a major activity in Bihar and other parts of the country. Authorities have requested citizens not to panic and cooperate with them, urging them to inform the nearest police station if they notice any suspicious activity.
