The 2026 Grammy Awards were held at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on Sunday.
Bad Bunny won Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, beating Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga with a Spanish‑language album – a first in Grammy history.
Another highlight was Olivia Dean winning Best New Artist.
Billie Eilish and Finneas took home the Song of the Year award for Wildflower. During her acceptance speech, they highlighted issues related to immigration and human rights, making it a key moment of the night.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA won Record of the Year for Luther, with Kendrick surpassing Jay-Z to become the most-awarded rapper in Grammy history. He now holds 27 Grammys.
Justin Bieber kicked off the show with a performance of Yukon, marking his return to the Grammy stage after a four-year gap.
Lady Gaga put on a lively medley of Abracadabra and won Best Pop Vocal Album for Mayhem.
Other notable performances included Sabrina Carpenter singing Manchild and a special segment featuring all the Best New Artist nominees, such as Addison Rae, Alex Warren, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Olivia Dean, SOMBR, and The Marías.
The show also featured powerful tribute segments: a rock tribute to Ozzy Osbourne led by Post Malone with Duff McKagan, Slash, Chad Smith, and Andrew Watt; and an emotional medley honoring D’Angelo and Roberta Flack, led by Lauryn Hill with guest artists including Lucky Daye, Raphael Saadiq, Jon Batiste, Lalah Hathaway, Chaka Khan, and John Legend.
In a surprise win, the Dalai Lama took the Grammy Award for Best Audiobook, Narration, and Storytelling Recording, highlighting the Recording Academy’s recognition of diverse and unconventional cultural contributions beyond mainstream music.
There were 95 Grammy Awards in total, although most awards were given at a non-televised premiere ceremony. The premiere ceremony was hosted by Darren Criss.
Trevor Noah hosted the main televised Grammy Awards ceremony for the sixth and final time.
CBS broadcast the awards show for the last time, after showing the Grammys for over 50 years. From 2027 onwards, the Grammy Awards will no longer be on CBS. They will instead be shown on Disney’s platforms like ABC, Disney+, Hulu, etc.
