Five young boys went swimming in Mumbai’s Marve Creek on Sunday morning and were seen drowning. According to a fire officer, rescue operations were started to locate the other three after two of them were successfully rescued.
The two boys were recognised as Krushna Jitendra Harijan, 16, and Ankush Bharat Shivare, 13, by bystanders before the arrival of the fire department. Subham Rajkumar Jaiswal, Nikhil Sajid Kayamkur, and Ajay Jitendra Harijan were the other three who went missing in the event and it happened roughly around 9.38 am. All of them are of 12 to 13 years of age.
A search for the boys has been conducted. The officer stated that the scene also had members of the Mumbai fire brigade, police, Coast Guard, Navy divers, ward staff, and ambulance.
The event occurred after two young individuals drowned at Vasai’s Chinchoti waterfall on Friday. The waterfall is a popular place to go when it’s raining. On Friday, two people perished in a waterfall in Vasai, Maharashtra’s Palghar district, an official informed news agency PTI. Six guys from Nalla Sopara went on a picnic at the Chinchoti waterfalls where the event happened, according to the official. According to the official, the fatalities, Rohan Rathod (19) and Ravi Jha (18), entered the waterfall to go swimming but perished.
The bodies were pulled from the area by local firefighters and Naigaon police station officials, according to the source. A similar occurrence occurred on Thursday when an 18-year-old kid perished in the Chinchoti waterfall; his corpse was found this morning. Sumit Yadav, the victim, drowned while swimming in a waterfall with his pals, according to an official.
The district collector has now issued a directive cautioning picnickers from accessing water bodies.
