Bharatiya Janata Party MP and former president of Wrestling Federation of India Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh appeared in Delhi court on Tuesday. He has got interim bail of 2 days from Rouse Avenue Court in the case of sexual exploitation of wrestling players in Indian wrestling. Along with him, Vinod Tomar, secretary of the wrestling association, has also got interim bail. In this case, the following hearing will take place on July 20. The debate on the regular bail of Kaiserganj MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh will occur on Wednesday, July 19.
Delhi Police presented the charge sheet in the Rouse Avenue Court on June 15 after the women wrestlers continued their protest. Brij Bhushan’s name was not a part of the allegations made by women wrestlers, where as Vinod Tomar was included in the accused. There were six adult wrestlers among the ones who were accused. The police found seven witnesses who testified against Brij Bhushan in this case. The police have also found some evidence in this case of sexual abuse. Today, the court has asked
the Delhi Police to give a copy of the charge sheet to the women wrestlers who have complained.
A charge sheet was filed against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the sexual harassment case. Women wrestlers had made serious allegations like sexual harassment against MP Brij Bhushan Singh. The Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet of 1599 pages in this case. In which the case against the accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and WFI Secretary Vinod Tomar is mentioned. This charge sheet has a total of 44 witnesses. A total of 108 people's statements are listed in the charge sheet. About 15 people made remarks in favor of the wrestlers who were abused.
