‘Chhaava’ has received an enormous response, reaching Rs 483.58 crore in its third week. The film has seen a steady incline in collections during its third week and is expected to continue to do better. 

Since its release on February 14, the historical drama film starring Vicky Kaushal is still going strong in cinema halls, thus, retaining its grip. On its third Thursday (Day 21), the film collected Rs 5.53 crore, taking the total third-week collection to Rs 84.08 crore.

The movie fell by a margin of about 55% in its second-week box office, yet the trend is that its garnering attention particularly in the Mumbai circuit, where it has registered Rs 222 crore so far. In the list of top-grossing films in Mumbai, ‘Chhaava’ is in second position after ‘Pushpa 2’ which made approximately Rs 267 crore in the city.    

This weekend, the industry insiders are expecting a probable collection spike.  As reported by the Times of India, Chhaava just crossed its Rs 500 crore mark on Saturday, March 9. Vicky Kaushal also took to social media to thank his fans for the love the film has received.

‘Chhaava’ is directed by Laxman Utekar and features Vicky Kaushal in the central role as the Maratha King Chhatrapati Shambhaji Maharaj along with Akshaye Khanna and Rashmika Mandanna. Thus, the movie has been praised for its lavish production design, intense performances, and emotionally charged connection-building, which have struck a chord with viewers. Although this success won’t touch Bollywood’s stratospheric heights of its biggest grossing films, Vicky Kaushal has gained more prominence for his profile.
