Projects for Rs.3000 crore including the inauguration of Nand Nagri flyover, 101 Ayushman Mandir centres and 75 drones made by girl students to be uncovered during the Seva Pakhwada campaign, on 17th September, 2025 which coincides with PM Modi’s birthday.
The Seva pakhwada or Service Fortnight will begin from September 17 in order to celebrate the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday.
Amit Shah, Union Home Minister will inaugurate five hospital blocks that are being expanded at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital, Bhagwan Mahavir Shri Dada Dev Matri Avum Shishu Chikitsalaya, Acharya Bhikshu Hospital and Guru Gobind Singh Hospital.
He will inaugurate 101 Ayushman Mandirs and the 75 drones developed by girl students studying at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) which will be operated by trained women personnel from Delhi Police.
The officials informed that during the 11 day Seva Pakhwada, the first day would focus on health concerned projects and another day would be more about the initiatives related to trans Yamuna area.
PWD minister Parvesh Verma said,“On the birthday of our respected Prime Minister, these transformative projects will be our gift to the people of Delhi. From water pipelines to flyovers, each initiative reflects our vision of a healthier, safer and more efficient capital. This Seva Pakhwada will set new benchmarks in public service and infrastructure”.
Delhi is also set to roll out its Drainage Master Plan. The roadmap for this project is said to address chronic waterlogging and urban flooding across the city. Alongside these, the foundation stone for a new foot overbridge at Rajputana Rifles will be laid aiming to improve pedestrian connectivity.
Highlighting the coordinated efforts of civic agencies, officials said that the Public Work Department (PWD) will focus on decongestion and flood mitigation and the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will work on water and sanitation infrastructure projects.
As part of its initiatives, the DJB will dedicate 13 new projects to the city. Including the installation of a comprehensive sewerage network in Sonia Vihar and the construction of a Master Balancing Reservoir at Palla.
“While DJB’s initiatives will improve water and sanitation facilities, PWD’s measures will reduce congestion, strengthen resilience against floods and enhance civic convenience”, as said by Parvesh Singh Verma.
