As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), India’s top automotive components conglomerate Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd. joined hands with the Inner Wheel Club of Khadki to organize a seven-day prosthetics donation and artificial limb fitting camp in Pune. The camp is slated to take place from 24 September 2024 to 29 September 2024 in association with BMVSS (Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti) Indore Centre which aims to give over 400 beneficiaries free artificial limbs and other assistive devices. The initiative’s goal is to enable people from socially and economically marginalized groups to become more mobile and independent. Many assistive devices including crutches, calipers, artificial limbs, and other mobility aids will be fitted at no cost to participants during the camp. For optimal user comfort and mobility, every device is custom-made. Personalized post-fitment support and supervision of the fitting procedure will be provided on-site by a committed group of committed technicians and volunteers throughout the event.
Notable personalities attended the inauguration ceremony including Dr. Suniti Goel, President of the Khadki Inner Wheel Club; Arihant Mehta, President of Pinnacle Industries, and Ritika Mehta Director of Pinnacle Industries. Arvind Goel, the Chairman of Tata AutoComp Systems Ltd also attended the ceremony.
