Today, a 19-year-old boy named Anurag Anil Borkar, on the day of his 1st trip to college to get an admission after scoring a remarkable 99.99 percentile in the NEET UG 2025, committed suicide, his last statement was found; as he wanted to be a businessman, not a doctor, he further said both make equal money but he would rather be a businessman than a doctor. His brilliant performance earned him an All-India Rank of 1475 in the highly competitive OBC category.

Police have confirmed that the young student was discovered hanging at his household. This incident happed just before he was supposed to leave for his college with his family to pursue higher education.

Before taking life anil wrote a note which was later found by investigating officers on the scene. Although the entire contents have not officially been released, police sources gave a chilling piece of information.

The note supposedly said that Anurag did not wish to be a doctor. This has lent another dimension of deep sadness to the tragedy and suggests a possible divide between outward success and inward wish.

The Navargaon Police have filed a case and are carrying out a complete inquiry into the events leading to his death. The recovery of the note is a key aspect of their enquiries.

Anurag, whose family resided in Sindewahi taluka, was said to be an innocent, pure-hearted, decent child whose future was bright from the beginning. His perfect score in NEET UG has offered him one of the best colleges and the opportunity for the future, something thousands of hopefuls in India strive for.
