Two people were detained by Loni Kalbhor police for selling marijuana in Wadki, and 10 kg of the illicit drug, worth Rs. 1.40 lakh, was recovered. Rajeshkumar Vijay (23) and Rajkishore Yadav (19), both from Bihar and inhabitants of Gaikwadwadi Road in Wadki, have been identified as the people who have been detained.

Dattatray Chavan, a senior police inspector at the Loni Kalbhor Police Station, stated that the police were aware of the illegal drug sales taking place in the cow and buffalo sheds at Sonawane’s farm in Wadki. The police squad discovered that the two suspects were dealing marijuana along Gaikwadwadi Road in Wadki after eight days of surveillance.

The suspects were apprehended by the police team on Wednesday near the Sonawane cow-buffalo sheds, and they were found to be in possession of three bundles of greenish material (marijuana), wrapped in khaki-colored adhesive tape, as well as ganja in a plastic bag, which together weighed 10 kg and had a street value of Rs 1.40 lakh.

The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act will be utilised to prosecute the accused after the police have completed their investigation. Police have urged individuals to report any such illegal activity to them in order to support the upkeep of peace and order.
