As anticipation increases for Samsung’s impending proprietary OneUI 6 skin, built on top of Android 14. Samsung Germany mistakenly leaked a press note, revealing features and advancements on the upcoming custom Android skin.
According to the announcement, which has since been removed, the OneUI 6 beta will be available for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series of devices in the United States, Korea, and Germany. It emphasizes the revamped fast panel, which appears very different from the current OneUI 5.
According to Samsung, OneUI 6 was purposefully created to be easy, and it includes various new features such as updated first-party apps, a new camera widget, unique backdrop images for appropriate scenarios, and several cosmetic tweaks.
Given this leak, it appears that Samsung is nearing the end of testing the first beta of OneUI 6, which will likely become official in the coming days.
Samsung’s OneUI has been recognized for its richness and variety of customization options. The company has made various changes to OneUI over the years, and with version 6, the company is said to have rebuilt the entire UI to give a clean and modern experience. The update is expected to improve the user experience by giving several Ul elements a visual makeover. For example, the Quick Panel is planned to undergo a major overhaul that will improve access to various functions, particularly those that are often used. Along with the brightness slider, it appears that Samsung will include the Eye comfort shield and Dark mode.
The OneUI 6 beta will first be limited to the company’s existing flagship devices, but it is expected to be expanded to its mid-range and affordable smartphones in the coming days. In addition, Samsung is one of the few Android smartphone OEMs that provides four major OS upgrades for its mid-range and high-end devices.
