The Dravidian ideology has recently encouraged a 60 to 70-year rivalry between Dravidians and Aryans by rejecting any racial definition of the term Aryan according to Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi. At this critical time of national resurgence he stressed that correct historical descriptions of the Saraswati-Sindhu civilization should be continuously advocated throughout the nation. The Governor explained how both Vedic and Sangam literatures fail to mention Aryans as a racially defined group.
The governor stated that none of the Indian literatures, be it Sangam or Vedic, has coined the term Aryan as a race, which goes the same for the case of Tamil literatures as well. According to him, During the last six to seven decades the Dravidian ideology has produced an erroneous division between Aryan and Dravidian societies, which he stated at the beginning ceremony of the two-day conference “Indus Civilisation: Its Culture and People – Archaeological Insights” that took place at DG Vaishnav College.
His presentation explained how Vedic teachings from this civilization fostered Bharat’s cultural form and established vital values of collective unity and worldwide fraternity that guide current nation-state and worldwide viewpoints today. According to the speaker the population needs to recover from the ancient civilization regarding various interest groups which have imposed erroneous ideas about Aryan invasion theory and racial theories upon the public, including European conquerors and the people who follow and are wedded to the Dravidian and Marxist ideologies which falsely propagates the theory of Aryan Race and their invasion. Through modern scientific methods like satellite imagery and nuclear physics experts have defined Saraswati-Sindhu as the Vedic civilization which extended across Bharat completely, according to him.
He also said that at such times of national resurgences, people should clearly differentiate historical facts and narratives of Saraswati-Sindhu civilization.
