‘The Advantage Assam 2.0 – Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025’ which was an initiative taken by the Government of Assam, was held on 25th and 26th February, 2025 at the Veterinary Field in Khanapara, Guwahati. Since Assam serves to be the getaway between the Northeastern states and the Southeast Asian states, initiatives like Advantage Assam are taken in order to proliferate major investment opportunities and geostrategic advancements.
Mukesh Ambani has now proposed newer advancements and data centres in Assam, which is to change the current digital landscape. He is making significant investments in the artificial intelligence sector favouring to give a push to the AI infrastructure. Industry watchers say this is an important step in making India a global leader in data-driven technologies and artificial intelligence. Assam’s emergence as a technological center is expected to boost the region’s digital economy, create jobs, and encourage innovation in the quickly evolving field of artificial intelligence.

With a significant investment in Assam, Asia’s richest entrepreneur, Mukesh Ambani, is making a daring move in the development of AI. He highlighted the state’s unrealized potential while speaking at the Advantage Assam 2.0 investor forum, where he also revealed Reliance Industries’ intentions to establish Al-ready data centers. The goal of this effort is to establish Assam as a major participant in the expanding digital economy and AI ecosystem of India.
Mukesh Ambani calls Assam: Tech Paradise
Mukesh Ambani believes that Assam would be a major center for creativity and technology in the future, in addition to being known for its tea. Speaking at the Advantage Assam 2.0 summit, he noted that “Assam will be known as tech paradise” and that AI will stand for both “Artificial Intelligence” and “Assam Intelligence” in the years to come. He also lauded the state’s outstanding youth population.
Reliance Industries has remained steadfast in its support of Assam’s development. Over Rs 12,000 crore has already been invested by the corporation, which in 2008 promised the state Rs 5,000 crore.Reliance wants to speed up Assam’s economic development and digital transformation with new AI-driven projects and data centers.
During his visit, Mukesh Ambani also paid his respects at the revered Kamakhya Devi temple before announcing Reliance’s latest initiatives. During his lecture, he highlighted Assam’s potential to become a thriving technological hub that promotes innovation, jobs, and long-term economic viability.
