On its 10th anniversary, the telegram has come up with a new feature Stories with the functions of dual camera mode, flexible durations options, and so on.
Previously, the Stories feature was only available to the premium subscribers of the app. Now it is available for everyone and a user can access the feature at the top of the app. The users can still access the chat list in full length and also the folders. While viewing a particular story they can tap to share, react or reply privately to the story. Users can simply tap a like or can hold down the tap to get various reaction options.
Similar to the BeReal app, Stories has a new feature now where one can take photos or videos with both the front and rear cameras of their devices, recording simultaneously customising the use as per their convenience.
Just like on WhatsApp, the consumers can choose the privacy settings for Stories as per their needs. The privacy setting is available in four different options- Everyone, My Contacts, Close Friends, and selected friends. The users can include or exclude viewers as per their likes.
Furthermore, they can disable the screenshot option from preventing others from sharing the stories.
What is more interesting is that the consumers can customise the time till the story will be on display on their profiles- 6, 12, 24, and 48 hours. Additionally, they can post the stories on their profile grid too. Both old and new connections to a particular user can view the stories, similar to the highlight sections of Instagram.
But here is also another twist, just like how WhatsApp users can edit texts, telegram users right now can edit any of the elements of their stories. The users will be able to change the visibility, captions, and add stickers without deleting the story entirely. All the users have to do is tap on the three dots at the top of the story and then tap on the edit they can personalise the story.
According to the telegram company in the history of the application, the users have not demanded any other features than how much they have for Stories.
