The increasing incidence of sexual violence has brought to light yet another alarming case that occurred within a school in Pune. A student was reported to have offered a 100-rupee contract to a classmate to assault and kill a female peer. As per the report, the incident took place at St. Sebastian English School in Daund tehsil after the girl reported to her teachers that another student had forged his parents’ signatures. In response to this complaint, the male student allegedly became enraged and contracted a minor from another class to carry out the heinous act.

It has been reported that the principal and two teachers attempted to bury the incident in order to safeguard the school’s reputation. The matter has since been reported to the authorities, and a formal complaint has been lodged at the Daund police station. The FIR includes allegations against the principal, a class teacher, and another educator for reportedly subjecting the minor student to mental harassment and adversely affecting her academic performance through their attempts to cover up the incident.

In a similarly disturbing case, a 10th-grade student is alleged to have offered ₹2000 to facilitate the abuse and murder of a female peer. Authorities indicated that the boy held a grudge against the girl following her complaint about him to a teacher. He reportedly solicited a friend to carry out this dreadful plan; however, the friend ultimately withdrew and informed others about the plot. The girl, whose timely

intervention likely spared her from danger, became aware of the scheme, prompting her family to contact the police.

A police official involved in the investigation stated, “We are examining the sequence of events and will take stringent action based on our findings.” This incident has raised significant concerns regarding the mental well-being of students and the necessity of monitoring their behavior. Experts stress the importance of fostering open communication among parents, teachers, and students to avert such occurrences. This case underscores the urgent need for heightened awareness and preventive strategies to ensure the safety of students and cultivate a supportive atmosphere within educational institutions.
