The AI-powered call recording feature has been introduced by Truecaller in India. Users of iOS and Android can now record phone calls straight within the Truecaller app, and the tool will produce transcription for the users.
The new feature, according to Truecaller, brings an advanced service to people as it aims to free users from having to worry about taking thorough notes during their live talks. This also attempts to increase efficiency when on calls. Users now can obtain both AI-generated call summaries and transcription of the whole conversation. The Stockholm-based business provides this live call transcription feature using artificial intelligence technology. This allows one to concentrate entirely on the conversation without having to worry about taking notes. When the call concludes, Truecaller’s AI will automatically record the entire exchange and provide a useful description.
The feature functions perfectly within the Truecaller app on iPhone. All one has to do is select “Record a Call” from the Search menu when on the line. This will connect to the Truecaller recording line and allow to merge the calls. After the transcription is finished, the user will receive a notification. On the user’s phone, all recordings are safely kept private. One just needs to access the Truecaller app to listen to previously recorded calls. This provides total control over recordings because all of the call recordings are kept on your smartphone.
Users can store recorded calls as a backup on iCloud to add a degree of protection.
In the Truecaller app on Android devices, there is a specific record button. To begin or stop recording important phone meetings, the user just has to tap once. A floating button accomplishes the same purpose for other dialers. Just like with the iPhone, the user will receive an alert when the call file is prepared for review.
Interestingly, only Truecaller Premium subscribers get access to the call recording option. The Premium subscription level comes with extra features and starts at Rs 75 per month or Rs 529 per year. According to the company, transcription functionality is presently limited to English and Hindi languages, even though the feature is being gradually introduced on both the iOS and Android platforms.
