Symbiosis Law School, Pune is determined to lead the EU Erasmus K2 Project called “Curricula Development on Climate Change Policy and Law.”
For the sixth year in a row, SLS Pune, a member of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU), has continuously ranked among the top 10 law schools in India according to the NIRF rankings. The school is at the forefront of the “Curriculum Development on Climate Change Policy and Law (CCP_Law)” European EU Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE Project.
There are several project meetings and conferences scheduled to have a discussion on creating better opportunities and post-graduate streams for students in the area of Climate Change policy and law. However, these courses will hover in transnational mode.
In the statement circulated by the Symbiosis Law School, Pune there will be 30-35 delegates from 6 partner countries including the Coventry University from the United Kingdom, the University of Girona from Spain, European Knowledge spot, and Pedemede from Greece, University Utara Malaysia and the International Islamic University of Malaysia, Hue University and Hanoi University from Vietnam and Marwadi University from India.
This Transnational project meeting will take off from the 11th of September to the 16th of September 2023. This project is co-funded by the EU. The 4th Transnational Project meeting will also include the inauguration of the Symbiosis Climate Change Policy and Law Centre.
The Centre will be utilized in conducting clinical legal research and as a pedagogic lab to be sustainable through its various engagements with academia, community, and industry. This Centre will also collaborate with other centers like the SIU – Symbiosis Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability (SCCCS) and Symbiosis Centre for Waste Resource Management (SCWRM).
The Centre will serve as a hub for pedagogical training research, experiential learning and conducting small group seminars and discussions. It will cater to both Undergraduate and Post-Graduate students participating in the Dual Degree program and Joint Degree Program (LLM and PG Diploma) offered as part of the Climate Change Law and Policy Project. The centre’s offering will align seamlessly with the CCP Law project’s objectives and meet the standards anticipated by the partnering nations.
