During his visit to the two election-bound states on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil construction projects worth Rs 12,600 crore in Madhya Pradesh and Rs 5,000 crore in Rajasthan.
According to the PM’s Office, Modi will dedicate numerous construction projects in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, including those in the road, rail, aviation, health, and higher education sectors.
He will inaugurate and lay the foundation for construction projects in the Madhya Pradesh city of Jabalpur in the areas of housing, clean drinking water, roads, and rail.
A 350-bed trauma centre and critical care hospital block at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Jodhpur, as well as seven critical care blocks under the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM), are among the health initiatives for which he will lay the cornerstone in Rajasthan.
More than Rs 350 crore will be spent on the centre’s development at the AIIMS, according to the statement.
The facility will implement a comprehensive approach to the management of trauma and emergency cases by offering patients multidisciplinary and all-inclusive care, and critical care blocks throughout Rajasthan will support district-level reviewers.
The prime minister will also lay the foundation for the 480 crore rupee state-of-the-art new terminal building at the Jodhpur airport, in addition to dedicating the IIT Jodhpur campus to the nation.
According to the statement, the campus cost more than Rs 1,135 crore to build. It was stated that it was a step towards providing high-quality, all-encompassing education and creating the necessary infrastructure to support innovative research and development projects.
He will also launch two new train services in the state in addition to laying the cornerstone for numerous road development projects that will cost a total of about Rs 1,475 crore to construct.
In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Modi will launch a lighthouse project, according to the PMO.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban Project, built for about Rs 128 crore, will benefit more than 1,000 beneficiary families as part of his ‘housing for all’ vision.
He will also inaugurate a drinking water project under the same programme in the district of Seoni and lay the foundations for numerous Jal Jeevan Mission projects worth more than Rs 2,350 crore in the districts of Mandla, Jabalpur, and Dindori.
Around 1,575 villages in Madhya Pradesh will benefit from these projects in four districts.
According to the report, he will also lay the foundations for numerous projects worth more than Rs 4,800 crore that will improve the state’s road infrastructure and dedicate them to the nation.
Among the many development facilities he will unveil during the visit is the 352 km Vijaipur-Auraiya-Phulpur pipeline project, built at a cost of more than Rs 1,750 crore, and rail projects worth more than Rs 1,850 crore.
