The South African men’s team defeats the fearless Australia in a thrilling ODI series. South Africa emerged as the winner of both series i.e the t20i & the ODi series. The T20i series ended at 1-2 with Australia emerging victorious while the ODI series was dominated by South Africa (3-1). Keshav Maharaj – the mystery spinner of the Proteas was awarded the Man of the Tournament for his impeccable bowling skills that left the crowd in awe. South Africa has displayed a consistent performance all through the series. Maharaj has taken 6 wickets in the entire series with a 5-wicket haul in the first match.
South Africa has shown sheer discipline and dominance in the first match. Temba Bavuma and Tristan Stubbs scored 65 (74) & 57 (56) respectively taking South Africa to a score of 298/8 with Travis Head taking 4 wickets for 57 runs in 9 overs. The South African bowlers were up for the charge from the very beginning with Keshav Maharaj taking a staggering 5-wicket haul for 33 runs in his 10 overs with an economy rate of 3.3. Australia couldn’t protect itself from the bullets South African bowlers had shooted onto them.
South Africa outlashed Australia yet again in the second ODI series. The young-gun who has impressed cricket enthusiasts from all over the world for his explosive batting for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League – Dewald Brevis. Brevis scored 125(56)* with a massive strike rate of 223.14. His wide-range of shots has left Australian bowlers unhooked. Although South Africa couldn’t lay high-end partnerships, Brevis has taken charge of the batting.
A-19 year old Kwena Maphaka has taken 3-wicket haul while on the other hand 30-yearCorbin Bosch -old has also taken 3 wickets.
Australia has defeated South Africa in the 3rd T20I series. Nathan Ellis from Australia has taken 3-wickets in 4 overs by conceding 31 runs while Josh Hazelwood & Adaam Zampa have taken 2-wickets each. Glenn Maxwell’s fearless batting where he scored 62(38) has resulted in Australia winning one out of the three T20i matches. Tim Dvaid was awarded the Man of the Tournament for scoring 150 runs in 3 matches.
