Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS) leadership has taken a very drastic decision which has sent shockwaves trough telengana’s politicsand has sent a very strong message that the BRS leadership will not tolerate any activity that damages its image, On Tuesday (2ndSeptember, 2025) suspended MLC Kalvakunta Kavitha for anti-party activities.
The sdisciplinary action was taken when BRS Supremo K. Chandrashekher Rao’s daughter Ms. Kavitha, daughter levels serious allegations against her party colleagues and close relatives- the former Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao and former MP J. Santosh Kumar, In her comments, Kavitha had accused her cousins of conspiring against her father,the party president. The Party’s Disiplinary action committee general secretary Soma Bharat Kumar and BRS general secretary T. Ravinder Rao stated that KCR has taken a decision of immediate suspension of his daughter from the party as the recently made comments and activities goes against the policies and principles of the BRS.
As of now, Kavitha, the former Lok sabha MP from Nizamabadand the prominent women’s leader in BRS, has still not issued any formal response regarding this matter yet, however her recent remarks has suggested a sense of bitterness towards the party’s leadership style and towards her colleagues.
Observers believes that the development could have a significant impact on Telengana’s political landscape, for KCR, the suspension of his own daughter is now seen as a disciplinary statement and as a strong strategic move-which projects a firmness within the party ranks while also exposing the small cracks which has taken place in the BRS, which was once a tightly knit party.
