Sujeeth’s gangster drama ‘They Call Him OG’ continues its strong run at the box office despite a Monday slowdown. Starring Pawan Kalyan, Emraan Hashmi, and Priyanka Mohan, the film released on September 25 with massive paid premieres a day earlier.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, OG earned ₹7.45 crore net on its fifth day (Monday), taking its India total to ₹147.65 crore. While the weekday dip was expected after a strong weekend, industry experts believe the Dussehra holiday period could give the film another boost.
The film’s journey has been remarkable so far. It raked in ₹21 crore from paid premieres alone, with tickets priced at ₹1000 in Andhra Pradesh and ₹800 in Telangana. Its first-day haul touched ₹63.75 crore. After a sharp drop on Friday (₹18.45 crore), the film held steady across the weekend with ₹18.5 crore on Saturday and Sunday, adding ₹37 crore to its tally. Globally, OG has already crossed ₹250 crore in its opening weekend.
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad team hosted a special screening on Monday evening. Lead actor Pawan Kalyan, who had been recovering from viral fever and bronchitis, was seen attending the event with his nephew and popular star Ram Charan, who cheered for the film alongside the cast and crew.
Backed by DVV Entertainment, OG features a stellar ensemble cast including Arjun Das, Sriya Reddy, and Prakash Raj. With festive holidays approaching, the gangster saga is eyeing an even bigger milestone at the box office.
