Things are going to be very easy for ChatGPT users. Adobe is merging with Photoshop, Adobe Express and Acrobat Apps into ChatGPT. This will allow users to edit images, design graphics, and manage PDFs with an AI chatbot. This is done to reduce the need to switch between different applications and tap into more users.
The rollout brings many popular Adobe features into ChatGPT, making them available to its 800 million users weekly. This helps Adobe stay updated as the design world changes with AI. More people now like using fast, chat-based tools that are easy for both beginners and experts.
To use these Adobe features, users just type the name of the Adobe app and what they want to do. ChatGPT then guides them step by step and may show sliders or other tools to help make detailed changes.
Starting Wednesday, you can use Photoshop, Acrobat and Adobe Express for free in ChatGPT on desktop, web and iOS.Adobe Express is already on Android, and Photoshop and Acrobat will be added to Android soon.
Ely Greenfield, Adobe’s chief technology officer for its Digital Media Business, said the update builds on the company’s core investments in AI assistants across its apps. He explained that this approach helps Adobe reach users where they already are, especially as I agents become the go-to starting point for everyday tasks. He also said that people who want the full power of Adobe’s tools can quickly switch from ChatGPT to the original Adobe apps whenever they need to.
When it comes to privacy and security, Adobe says Acrobat for ChatGPT allows users to take out any private information from their documents before sharing them. The company also says it does not use customer data to train its AI models.
Still, it points out that anyone using OpenAI services, including Adobe tools inside ChatGPT, must follow OpenAI’s data handling and training policies.
Adobe says it is not worried that bringing advanced app features to ChatGPT will pull users away from its desktop and mobile apps. The company sees this integration as a way to reach a much larger group of new users. It also says that Acrobat and Adobe Express already have over 700 million monthly users on their own, plus millions more who use them through other platforms like Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Slack and Box.
