“In the election campaign across all 29 municipal corporations, the leaders of the Mahayuti have put in everything they had. Especially if we look at Mumbai, the way the Thackeray brothers tried to divide Hindu votes, by creating a Marathi-Hindi dispute in the name of language, and the way they completely surrendered to jihadist influences for the sake of a handful of Muslim votes, all of that was seen by the people of Mumbai during the campaign. This will certainly result in a strong slap in their faces, because Mumbai is one, and its entire Hindu society is one. Whether North Indian or Marathi-speaking, everyone lives together in unity.” Says Sanjay Nurpan, Shiv Sena leader.
