Current trends from the Pune Municipal Corporation elections show the BJP pulling far ahead of its rivals. With leads in 50 of the 165 wards, the party appears set for a comfortable victory. The numbers point to a near sweep, indicating strong support for the BJP across Pune. Meanwhile, the Congress is leading in only 7 wards, and Ajit Pawar led NCP in 5, with no other parties or independents making gains so far. As vote counting progresses, the trends reflect the BJP’s rising influence in the city’s local governance.
