Eberchi Eze’s and Victor Gyokeres’ braces see Arsenal through 4-1 in dominant fashion in the North London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The thorough display of sheer domination from start to finish revives hopes in the Gunners’ pursuit of the Premier League title and the quadruple. This win puts them on the front foot again for the time being, with the gap at the top of the table stretching by 5 points from Manchester City, who sit second with a game in hand.

Coming into the game, Arsenal had huge pressure on them following their disappointing draw against Wolves at Molineux. In the 32nd minute, Eze opened the scoring after he smartly volleyed the ball into the back of the net after Bukayo Saka’s impressive work down the right. Just 24 seconds after the restart, Randal Kolo Muani equalized in quick fashion by capitalizing on Declan Rice’s costly error with a moment of individual brilliance.

Victor Gyokeres then went on to curl in a powerful and precise finish from the edge of the penalty area to gain back the lead just 2 minutes into the second half. Eze bagged his second of the night later on in the 61st minute, tapping in a loose ball into the net from an intricate play by his side driving into the penalty, extending the lead to three goals to one.

Gyokeres sealed the deal in stoppage time, smashing the match ball, as well as taking it home with a MOTM display. Spurs now sit 16th on the table, just 4 points away from the relegation zone, as they battle to stay clear of relegation and get handed their 3rd consecutive defeat.

Arsenal, on the other hand, look to keep building on the victory and not lose focus and let history repeat itself for a 4th season in a row. The Gunners will face their other London rivals, Chelsea, on March 1, while Spurs take on Fulham at Craven Cottage.
