Indian Squash team won gold medal after the tense match, in the final of the men’s team squash event, Saurav Ghosal, Abhay Singh, and Mahesh Mangaonkar, representing India, clinched the gold medal by triumphing over Pakistan with a score of 2-1. This win was followed by another win in the HockeyPool A match, the Indian hockey team also secured a gold medal in hockey. The Hockey Pool A match was decidedly one-sided, with India dominating Pakistan by a score of 10-2.

Kartik Kumar and Gulveer Singh delivered an outstanding performance in the men’s 10,000m final, clinching the silver and bronze medals, respectively. In the 10m air pistol mixed team final, Sarabjot Singh and Divya TS narrowly lost to China, settling for the silver medal. London Singh and Siddharth Pardeshi currently hold the sixth position in the men’s synchronized 3m springboard final after the fourth round. They have amassed a total of 169.17 points, while China, currently at the top of the standings, has gathered 267.18 points.

During the women’s doubles table tennis quarterfinals, Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee from India clinched a bronze medal by defeating the second-ranked Chinese pair of Chen Weng and Yidi Weng. They secured their victory with a score of 11-5, 11-5, 5-11, 11-9. At the same time, the Indian men’s badminton team delivered an exceptional performance, defeating Korea with a score of 3-2. This victory has propelled them into the finals, guaranteeing them a silver medal at the very least.

In Athletics, Murali Sreeshankar successfully secured a spot in the men’s long jump final, and Jyothi Yarraji Nithya Ramraj progressed to the final of the women’s 100m hurdles. 

In women’s golf, Aditi Ashok is steadily approaching a potential medal and concluded the third round as the leader in the individual competition. Furthermore, the Indian women’s golf team concluded the day in the first place in the team competition’s third round.

Nishant Dev suffered a defeat in the men’s 71 kg boxing quarterfinals, facing off against Japan’s Sewonrets Quincy Mensah.

Moreover, within the women’s boxing, Preeti and Lovlina Borgohain secured a guaranteed medal for India by progressing to the semifinals in their respective weight classes.
