Australian Women have been the most dominant team so far in the Women’s World Cup 2025.They are the only team to remain undefeated. Out of the 5 matches Australia played, they successfully defeated 4 teams including India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh and the match against Sri Lanka was washed out in rain.

In the latest encounter against Bangladesh, Australia were the dominant team. Bangladesh have scored their highest of 198/9 in One Day Internationals (ODI) against Australia. Middle-order batsman Sobhana Mostary was the highest run-scorer, she scored 66 (80) and remained not out. She barely had any support from her teammates. Australian bowlers remained consistent with their pace & spin combinations. Alana King & Georgia Wareham were the pick of the bowlers as they picked for wickets between them in 17 overs and conceded only 40 runs. 

In the second innings Australia showcased pure class and balanced approach. Bangladesh bowlers tried restricting Australia openers  Phoebe Litchfield and skipper Alyssa Healy had other plans. The duo had an aggressive approach from ball 1. Both batters have tried to match each other with their attacking display. Healy has successfully scored her second in this World Cup. Australia have displayed a pure-class performance against Bangladesh.With Phoebe Litchfield putting the finishing touches by driving the ball  down the ground, Australia are the first team to qualify for the playoffs. Australia have not lost a single wicket in the innings, the 202*  runs stand  remains the second-highest for any wicket against Bangladesh in ODI’s behind the 243 runs partnership between South Africa’s Tasin Britis and Wolvaardt for opening wicket at Benoni in 2023.

This victory is the eight 10-wicket victory for Australia in the Women’s ODI Worldcups and first since the 2005 edition. No team has done it more than thrice.
