Vote Counting for the Maharashtra civic polls began on Wednesday. AIMIM leader Warris Pathan spoke to the media in Mumbai as parties are eagerly awaiting the results.

Pathan said people came out in large numbers to vote. “People have voted in large numbers, and the results will come by evening,” he said. He added that the party was hopeful of a good performance.

“We are confident that most of our corporators will win,” Pathan said. “People have blessed us.” He said the response on the ground gave the party confidence.

Pathan also spoke about young voters taking part in the election. “Gen-Z has also participated in this process,” he said. He called it a positive sign.

Thanking those who worked during the campaign, Pathan said party workers had put in a lot of effort. “I thank the party workers and supporters who worked hard day and night to help our candidates succeed,” he said.

The results of the Maharashtra civic polls are expected later in the day.
