The following initiative taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi aims to provide larger loans at lower interest rates than any microfinance institution.

Along with the inauguration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also transferred 105 crore into the account of the institution. He commented that for a country’s development, women empowerment is a necessity. To empower women, it is essential to provide them with all the best opportunities without any obstacles.

He congratulated saying, “ I congratulate the mothers and sisters of Bihar, Chief minister Nitis Kumar and the NDA government for this wonderful initiative.”

As this Inauguration marks the beginning of something that will be fruitful to women, Narendra Modi claimed it as a ‘very auspicious work.’ He commented saying that the mothers and sisters of Bihar are going to get a new facility and through this, women involved with Jeevika will get the chance to access money more easily. This will help the working women to proceed with the work conveniently and can create a new angle on their business that they will operate.

The entire process will be operated online, making it a smooth platform that will ensure a smoother, faster and transparent process enabling smooth transactions directly into the beneficiary’s account. Also, all registered users under Jeevika will become members of this cooperative society. The funds of this operation will be funded jointly by the Central and Bihar government.
