To extend birthday wishes to the Prime Minister, a drone show named “Jyotine Tejachi Aarti” is being held in Pune on 17th September, 2025. This is the first time that a drone show has been organised in Maharashtra on the lines of shows in Ayodhya and Varanasi in the past.
City MP and Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol is organising a grand aerial laser show by highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s achievements in his 11-year tenure to mark his 75th birthday. The 3D drone show, featuring around 1,000 drones, will last 45 minutes and will be visible in a four-km radius. It will also showcase Pune’s social, cultural, and historical landmarks. Apart from the drone show, an aid camp for the differently abled and a musical evening will be organised at S.P. College ground, Mohol said. 1,750 assistive devices will be distributed to over 1,200 beneficiaries for free in the aid camp for the differently abled.
Avadhoot Gupte, a renowned singer and music composer, will perform in a live concert. Over 75,000 students from Pune will also send birthday wishes to the Prime Minister via postcards, Mohol said.
The event, which was originally scheduled to be held on September 16, was postponed to 17th due to the possibility of rain, Mohol said. He also said that although the weather concerns still remain, all required precautions and arrangements have been made to ensure the event runs smoothly. Special seating arrangements are also made at S.P. College grounds for citizens to enjoy the show without any inconvenience.
Starting from September 17th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday will be celebrated across the country through various initiatives under the ‘Seva Pakhwada’ (Fortnight of Service). This campaign will continue till the 2nd of October, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri.
