Rahul Gandhi once again reiterated his stance, stressing that he can prove his allegations. Earlier this year, backing his earlier claims, the Lok Sabha opposition leader accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “vote theft” to win the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Speaking to reporters in Wayanad, Kerala, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Congress MP said he would unveil a “hydrogen bomb” of evidence that would leave no doubt in India and “completely shatter” the accepted reality.
Gandhi said that his earlier press conferences had already shown clear evidence to back his claims, stressing that he was not making allegations without proof. He mentioned that he had complete proof of several developments, which would be made public in the near future.
When asked whether his remarks were connected to Lok Sabha results in Varanasi, the Prime Minister’s constituency, Gandhi said it was up to the media to speculate. He added that he would focus on fulfilling his own responsibility. Gandhi also pointed out that a CID inquiry was underway in Karnataka regarding alleged “vote theft” in the Aland assembly seat.
Speaking further, Gandhi did not shy away from slamming the Election Commission. He alleged that the Karnataka CID sought details of the phone number linked to the alleged “vote theft”, but Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar had not provided the information. He remarked that such refusal amounted to a serious indictment of the CEC.
Earlier on September 1, while addressing a gathering in Patna at the conclusion of ‘Voter Adhikar Yatra,’ he said that the disclosures on the alleged “vote chori” would be as explosive as a hydrogen bomb. He went on to say that the revelations would be so severe that the current prime minister will not be able to show his face to the nation.
