Uber on 9th October announced the expansion of its limited-edition Intercity Motorhomes campaign to Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore. The offering which allows riders to book rides in custom-designed, caravan styled Motorhomes for outstation road-trips will also continue in Delhi NCR till December. 

Riders in Pune, Mumbai, and Bangalore will further be able to book Intercity-Motorhome rides from upcoming October 13. While it will start accepting trips from October 15. It has already come to live in Delhi-NCR with bookings already open. 

After a month of pilot period in the nation capital region during the monsoon travel season, it had 100% occupancy on all days, with even more customers inquiring about its launch date in other cities as well. The extension and expansion of the campaign in India reflect an idea of the campaign that consumers in India have been looking out for more convenient and flexible travel options for long-distances in India.

Each Intercity-Motorhomes has several features and comes equipped with amenities such as television, microwave, mini-refrigerator, and lavatory, offering riders a private lounge-like experience on the wheels. The vehicles can accommodate up to 4-5 passengers and include both a helper and a driver for an entire hassle free experience. 

As with any other Uber Intercity drives, the Uber Motorhomes trips can also be booked prior to the travel, with reserve and also gives the customers an ability to add stops along the way, gives a real-time tracking feature along with the ride, and has access to 24×7 live support. Given the high-demand of the Uber Intercity rides it is best to be booked at least 48 hours in advance. 

The Director of Consumer Growth- Uber India and South Asia, Shiva Shailendran, stated how Uber Intercity has become a viable option for riders who are looking for dependable, comfortable and easy travel between two cities. He also wishes to expand the campaign Pan India to strengthen the Intercity’s position to make it as a go-to option for long-distance travels.
