The Proteas take on the Men in Blue in a thrilling second ODI match in Raipur. The Indian Cricket team batted first and set a commanding target of 350 runs; however, for the first time, the South African squad achieved the biggest run chase away from home and won the match to level the ODI series 1-1.

In the first innings, the batting unit of the indian team displayed intense and aggressive performances. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored his first ODI century; along with that, King Kohli broke another record by scoring his 53rd consecutive century. Captain Rahul, meanwhile, finished the innings with a convincing 66 runs.

Despite such electrifying performances from the team’s batting unit, the South Africans put up a highly competitive show. Aiden Markram smashed a maiden century, with contributions from players like Brevis and Breetzki, who chipped in with their half-centuries, united to construct a determined chase despite India’s bowling efforts.

In a series of unfortunate events, the Indian team also lost its 20th consecutive toss. The South African captain correctly called it right after the coin was flipped by Indian skipper KL Rahul, leaving Rahul in shock and at a loss for words.

This defeat marked India’s second-ever loss in an ODI match after scoring more than 350 runs. Now, India will face the Proteas in a highly anticipated series decider in Vizag on Saturday for an exciting Finale.
