Bray Wyatt, a World Wrestling Entertainment star, died on Thursday, as informed by WWE. Wyatt was just 36 years old, as per TOI.

His real name was Windham Rotunda, and he died unexpectedly, according to WWE’s official website, which didn’t state the reason for his death. 

Bray Wyatt, was given the title of WWE champion in 2017. Later, he was also called with another name, “The Fiend”. His last performance on TV was the 2023 Royal Rumble. 

“World Wrestling Entertainment is saddened to know that Windham Rotunda, Bray Wyatt passed away on August 24, Thursday, at the age of 36,” states WWE. “WWE extends its condolences to Bray Wyatt’s family, friends and fans.”

He has not performed for the past few months due to an undisclosed illness. Several pro wrestling fans and wrestlers, including Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, took to Twitter to express their grief.

“I’m heartbroken over the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. I always had tremendous respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. Loved his presence, promos, in-ring work, and connection with @wwe universe. Very unique, cool, and rare character…,” tweeted Johnson.

Triple H, 14-time world champion in WWE, also expressed his grief on X, ” Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family…”

Sean Ross Sapp stated that Bray Wyatt was suffering from covid 19 early this year. His heart disease got worse due to this.

Even his fans were devastated and were remembering his good old days in the ring, “”He’s got the whole world in his hand” . The artist may die but his art lives forever captivating millions. RIP BRAY WYATT”, wrote a fan on X.

Wyatt, his father (Mike), grandfather (Robert Deroy Windham), and two uncles (Barry and Kendall Windham) all participated in WWE. His family has a long history of sports affairs. His grandfather was also a football player. He himself was a part of the Troy Football Team in 2007.
