In Rajasthan’s Dausa district, a tragic road accident claimed the lives of at least 11 people and left several others injured when a pickup van carrying devotees crashed into a truck.
Dausa Superintendent of Police Sagar Rana said the incident occurred between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on the Manoharpur Highway. The group was heading back to their village in Uttar Pradesh.The impact of the collision caused severe damage to the pickup, tearing it apart from the truck’s trailer.
Following the crash, traffic movement on the highway came to a standstill for a significant period. A few people who were injured have been transferred to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur for treatment, while others are receiving treatment at the Dausa District Hospital.
At least ten people were killed in an incident that occurred on the Manoharpur Highway, according to the Superintendent of Police. The deceased apparently returned from Khatu Shyam after praying. The death toll was later reported to have risen to 11 by Dausa Deputy Superintendent of Police Ravi Prakash Sharma.
The CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath expresses his condolences to the victims family and hopes for a quick recovery of the injured people. Dausa District Collector Devendra Kumar Yadav has stated that 10 deaths were reported in the initial reports, and three people are being treated at the District Hospital.
Sharma, the chief minister of Rajasthan, conveyed his grief over the incident and gave officials instructions to make sure the injured received the right medical attention. In a post on X, he described the incident as deeply tragic, prayed for peace for the departed souls, and wished for the speedy recovery of those hurt.
