Bhojpuri actor and singer Pawan Singh is in the spotlight facing serious legal trouble. An FIR has been registered against him at Varanasi’s Cantt police station accusing him of a fraud worth ₹1.57 crore. The action follows orders from the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate-II of Varanasi on August 13, 2025.
The complaint was filed by Vishal Singh, a businessman, who alleged that he was lured into investing in the 2018 Bhojpuri film Boss with the promise of becoming a producer and earning hefty profits. According to the complaint, Vishal invested over ₹1.5 crore in multiple installments after being assured of a 50 percent profit share. Despite the film being completed and reportedly sold for a significant amount, he claimed that he never received any share of the returns.

Recently, a video from a cultural event went viral in which Singh was seen placing his hand on the waist of Haryanvi actress Anjali Raghav, making her visibly uncomfortable. The incident sparked outrage on social media, with many criticizing his behavior. Singh later issued an apology, but the matter was also taken up by the Women’s Commission.
